Steinhausen's Farm. Looking North West at the corner of Rokeby Road and SW 12th Street.
Across SW 12th street to the East is the Rokeby elevator (not pictured).
The elevator was probably built in the 1920s. It was operated by the Munns family in 1945. Probably had not been used since the 1980s.
Vantage Pointe Homes bought the site in 1995 for its prefabricated home business. Two large metal buildings, once used for grain storage, remain from the elevator and grain mill. One now holds building materials, and the other is a large factory where homes are built.
The grain elevator was demolished in March of 2006.
