I grew up here--my parents were dairy farmers--there was a large dairy barn behind the silo--and there was another silo to the left of the current one--wow has changed
I worked on this farm when Sue was born. worked there 1953 thru 1959 off and on in the later years. I was there when they first built that silo (16 x 40') then it was not big enough. The next year Fred added 20' (16x60') Then we got so much juice from the corn scheezing that it got into the well water. The smell from the corn in the drinking water would make us sick. Then we had to rent an Allis WD 45 with a backhoe on it from Komjathy's to dig a water line to a pond to the right of the house.
