Grew up here. My dad, Paul Cook, bought the farm from Lingenfelter's and ran a dairy farm for several years. The house and 17 acres were sold to my sister. The majestic barn has since fallen in. The cement silo still stands.
I (Patricia Cook) am the the sister that also grew up here along with my brothers Paul Jr and Daniel, our mother Pearl and as my sister said my Father Paul Sr. And her Deborah . I was raised here , raised my kids here and some of my grandchildren. The beams were cut by my father because when he had the insurance to pay for the roof to be put on it was done half assed and decayed after a roofer B. Grover Sr. installed it . And I lived in the house when he cut them and he didn't want the barn collapsing and catching the house on fire .the house needs a lot of maintenance considering its age and my ex husband did things just as half assed as the roofer when it came to the house . Since he's moved out we are remodeling and have installed new windows and hopefully a new roof this year and new septic.
