I lived here from 1951 to 1954. It was old and drafty, but very lovely with hand wrought latches instead of door knobs. Electricity and water were rudimentary. Privy still in use. I went to Falconer schools for 6th grade through 9th grade. The floors were thick pine plank from the valley below where Conewango White Pine was harvested in the 1840s, when the home was built. There was an outcrop of flint in the pasture, much used by the local Seneca people, and many arrowheads. There was also a Seneca Burial Plot at the back edge of the farm. The barn in the foreground was the carriage house, but the hay barn would have been where your logo is. I think it is gone. The corn crib was where the new building is, along side of the old carriage house. There was a long attic through the el, with pioneer era butterchurns, old sewing machines, cider press, human yolk, many treasures! The view of the river valley and distant hills met our eyes when we looked out of the old wavy glass windows of many panes. The front faced east. The view was unobstructed by any trees. We bought it from Mr. Hagberg, who retired to Arizona where his daughter lived. We moved to California, with a few treasures. Great to find it here...a really beautiful house!
