Most of these buildings and the property shown here, were once part of the former Lowman Flea Market. Most of this is gone now. It is located on Rt. 17c / CO Rt. 60 / Oneida Rd, Lowman, NY.

I grew up here. My parents took over the Flea Market in 1979. Our house is also in this picture. I have a copy of this Ariel view, as my dad had them take it and purchased it that year. The state took the land to make 17c go all the way to Elmira. There were too many fender benders on the highway due to "rubber neckers" checking out the flea market and making sudden stops. However it is open again after 30 years of silence. Many vendors and shoppers are happy to see it reopened.
