I grew up here from birth, it was a schoolhouse built in the 1800s. My father James Blair bought the property for 1000.00 dollars with no running water or electricity although the original hand pump for water still existed outside. The garage and woodshed out back was later added. What became our kitchen and bathroom was the boys and girls outhouse and wood storage to keep the school warm, the living room is were all the desks and teaching took place , part of that was partitioned and is where my parents slept. My sisters and I pretty much slept in the living room until the attic was converted into two bedrooms, bigger one for my sisters and smaller one for myself. My father passed in 1990 and my Mother now Donna Pearson could not keep up with it as time was taking its toll so moved in with me in Ogdensburg. Upon remarriage Mom and Jerry Pearson returned to the property and sadly tore it down and replaced it with a double wide, ironically the kitchen, living room and Moms bedroom is in the same place as the schoolhouse was, accidentally, no, I believe my Mother knew what she was buying and wanted!!!
