This was my sweet grandmother's house. Louise Dixon Hardee. The address is 947 Trueblood Rd. Halifax, NC, though at the time it was Route 2, Box 289. I can see her car parked under the tree in this photo. And my swing set in the backyard. I was her only grandchild. This makes me tear up. The best memories of my life happened here. I'd give anything to see her step out onto that porch one more time. She'd be nearly 109 if she were still alive. I still miss her, every single day.
