I lived in the house on the left at this time. I was only 5 years old. I remember the man next door, the house on the right, was Mr. Henderson. He was quite elderly at the time. I visited this place in 1998 to find that the house on the left was gone and the house I used to live had long been abandoned at that point. Visiting again in late 2011, I could not recognize the area due to so much growth. I can tell you in 1982 this was rural NC with an ample supply of lightning bugs and whipporwhills keeping you company well into the night.
