The picture is of Potts Memorial Presbyterian Church on Penderlea, Pender County, NC. Both buildings were former military chapels which were dismantled and rebuilt on this site by members of the congregation in the 1940's.
The area has changed greatly through the years due to the loss of the huge oak and pine trees which once surrounded the church. Hurricanes and age have also decimated many of the dogwood trees in the previously wooded area behind the church and adjacent cemetery.
