I will tell you what has changed in the 27 years that has past. They shut down this track for the love of money and bigger venue to race at. Bruton Smith took our last race date and moved to it one of his bigger tracks in Texas. But Andy Hillenburg did make a go at it. He got truck racing to come here to this track. It was fun while it lasted. Then shut down again. But now we have new owners who bought the track. I'm hoping they will bring some form of racing back[NASCAR] and many other avenues of racing and concerts back also.

Rockingham Speedway (North Carolina Motor Speedway)

I was there in 1991 for Mopars at the Rock. Got to ride in a '64 Plymouth Belvedere for a few laps around the oval. Those banked curves are steep, felt like the car was going to rollover to the bottom of the track.
