Me and my family moved into this house about 2 weeks ago. October 4th 2021. An old painting was left hanging up so we decided to look more into it, and I was sent this link by the Vintage Aerial team. Here are some key observations on what has changed since this photo.
The house itself was built in 1896, and officially registered in 1900 when plumbing was added.
Both Chimneys on the house are gone
Porch has been re-done
The big Oak trees out front and back are still here
All three barn building to the right are no longer here. A newer pole barn was put up to the right of the barn directly in the back. There was another small barn put up in between where the other two in this picture are. It still has somewhat of a good structure left and we are going to try and save it.
There was a big addition room added on to the right side of the house. That was added on around 1995 we were told.
The property lines behind the house where the fencing is, is more developed now. Not real sure how many original acres this farm was, but it currently still has 31.5 acres. Most of it being the land in front of the house, and to the bottom right as you see in the photo.
