Estimated to be between 170 to 200yrs old by the Alderman family. Was lived in by Amos Alderman and family and eventually lived in by his son, Walter and wife, Maggie Alderman. Land (hay/crop land) was tended by James Byron (J.B.) Alderman, until sold by Maggie (Walter) Alderman family to Lauch Faircloth in mid 1990s. Is now owned and cared for by Ann Faircloth of Clinton, NC. and currently used for their family ranching (cattle/hay) operations.
The old stock barn that sits to the left in the picture was damaged in a wind storm in early 1990s and later destroyed by a accidental fire by yard debris getting away from the caretakers.
