This home site was located at the intersections of Six Forks Rd, Baileywick Rd, and Strickland Rd, Raleigh. You can see part of Strickland Rd in the upper left corner and part of Baileywick Rd in the bottom right corner. Olaf & Rosa Wakefield sold this property to Wachovia Bank in 1983.

My husband and I were renting this property when Mr. Wakefield sold it to Wachovia Bank. I loved this house. The Raleigh Historical Society tried to find historical value so as to save the house. The Bayleaf fire dept burned it down for training. It was a sad day when we had to move. The kitchen was natural stained heartwood pine and had a nice fireplace. I will always remember this home.
