Former Haithcock family farm. Last occupied by James Haithcock (third cousin) Hydraulic Sales and Service. Shop was in the old milking parlor building near the large old gabled roof dairy barn. Realignment of New Hope Rd wenr through barn and parlor.
Shop building still stands - now Cottman Transmission.
St James United Methodist Church parking can be seen at the botton of the image.
The building by the pool still stands.
The hydraulic repair shop in this pic was torn down when New Hope Road was relocated. James Haithcock built a large new shop between the pool and the old shop. James lived in the house and operated the shop until his death. The house was heavily damaged in a fire soon after Jame's death and was later demolished. Cottman Transmission leases the new shop from the current owners of the property. Apartments now occupy the open land to the left side of the house site and shop as you look at this picture.
