The building on,left is the one room school house I went to first grade in. My sister Kay went through grade four, and my sister Karen went through grade 8. It closed down that year and kids from here went to four different schools. The stories I could tell of a school with out houses and no kitchen!
Richland Township #5/Beamsville School in just off US 127. It is now a church school.
I went to school there from 2nd to 8th as did my dad and his 7 brothers. My great aunt was a teacher there. But it was a 2 room school and was suppose to have 4 grades in each room but because there were so many in 1st and 2nd they changed to 3 grades in one room and 5 in the other. It's owned by the church now that you can see on the right so has always been keep in great shape and they use it for sunday school class rooms. It was a great school and I hated to see it close as did most of the people who lived in that area.
