or if this house is newer and was built on the same plot of land as that old school house...

This is the school house that was next to the Darke County Children's home on Celina Road just north of Greenville. The Children's Home was behind and to the left of this school. This building is no longer standing.
I have been told this is the old school that was located just north of the Children's Home in Greenville Ohio.
