Photo 6-SER-26 from 1964

Comments

West side of Ransom Rd between Mason and Strecker and north of the Turnpike. The ponds were originally part of the original 20 acre parcel. My wifes grandmother sold 6 acres to the state in 1954 to be used by the state as a borrow pit when building the overpass on Ransom Rd over the turnpike. Whats amazing to me is that in this picture the banks are clear, and must have been maintained that way for at least 10 years before becoming overgrown like they are today. I have no idea who maintained it. If anyone knows, drop me a line.
