Bloomingburg School/Miami Trace Jr. High School. No longer standing. I spent many days there under contract helping set up their MacBook Laptop lab and wireless infrastructure before it closed down and was replaced.

Bloomingburg Elementary, Bloomingburg Junior High, and Bloomingburg Middle School. An elementary school from 1962-1964 and became the junior high in 1988 (grades 7 & 8), then a middle school in 2008 (grades 6-8) until the new Miami Trace Elementary opened. It was torn down after the new schools were built in 2011 and there is now a Dollar Store where this school once stood. My grandma, Helen Chester, worked here (I believe as a custodian or volunteer) until she retired in the 1980's. I recall when she retired they planted a tree in her honor. My aunt told me a couple stories. At one point my grandma created a bed in one of the small empty rooms for a student who had CF to rest if needed. She would also buy and wrap Christmas gifts for students of families she knew were going through tough times and likely not to get any gifts for Christmas, so she wanted to make sure they got something. I was only recently looking this up (this month) and found out the information I just listed. Even though the school was demolished, all the trees still stood until 2018 when the lot was razed to build the dollar store.
