This farm house was built in the early 1800s by John Grant. He also built a grist mill on the premises that served the community for years. The mill burned in the late 1800s. My grandfather purchased the farm in the 1930s. My mother was born here. I was born and raised here as well. The Federal government purchased the property in 1973 for The Caesars Creek Flood project. My mother and father moved the house 3 miles east of the town of New Burlington. My father lives in the hous to this day. Larry R. Johnson 4/14/2019
