Mack's Lazy T Ranch, the site of many an ox roast in the 1950s through the 70s and one of the places that Valley City's frog jump contest has taken place. The jump was first held on Paul Hasel's farm in 1962 with 132 frogs entered. Intended as a single event but it was so popular it was kept going. It switched to the Lazy T Ranch in 1965. Then the Valley City Chamber got interested and moved the jump to the Valley City Street Fair in 1967. Two years later the jump was back at the Lazy T and took place at the Chamber's annual steak roast. I can find no mention of the Lazy T after 1978.
