This was the farm of my Great Grandparents Calvin and Caroline (Ahl) Steigerwalt.They had 4 children, Charles, Jerome, Ruth and Edna. Calvin died at the age of 38 in a farming accident. Caroline and her 4 children continued to run the farm. My grandmother was Ruth Who married Fred Edward Peet. The square top house in the left was built after the farm was sold out of the family in the 1960's and the larger building upper tward the center behind it was the original House and was move from its prior location to where it is here to make ready for the new house. The milk house next to the left of the driveway was built by Caroline Steigerwalt. This is located on the north end of Bear Swamp Rd. on the St Rt 162 Sharon Coply Rd. end. Sharon Twp Medina Co. The opposite side of the road is Montville Twp. This area was mostly Penn Dutch families.
