This is a Century Farm, purchased by my great-grandfather in about 1874. He was a German immigrant and he built this farmhouse in about 1895. One of his sons, also my grandfather, was the first born in it in 1896. My dad grew up on this farm and farmed it for many years. The farm is still in the family but the buildings along with a couple acres of land were sold a few years ago.
