The two barns were once one. The larger one was moved to our property when the owners at that time built a new house directly south of the big barn in the mid 1950s. The owners then sold off the original farmhouse and smaller barn, which are featured in this photo.

The barns have hand hewn oak beams and shaker peg construction. The draft horse harness of the team that once worked the farm still hangs in the hayloft in the big barn. Both barns are still in use today. (2015)
