My parents bought this place at 7363 Dodson Road(R.R.1 Box 228-B back then) from Walter Smith(former president of Brookville National Bank) in April 1963. It had been in his family for 2 generations. His parents built this house around 1874 to replace a log house that was south of the driveway. My parents sold it in 2014. When this picture was taken in 1969, they were working on an addition in the southwest corner and added the fireplace. Later, they tore down the 3 outbuildings and outhouse and added an attached 3 car garage and nice big woodshop. The Maple tree is still in the front yard, but it is 'tired'. The cherry tree(lower left) is long gone, with a lot of trees south(left) of the drive. The 2 rows of black raspberries from the road to the back of the back garage, and 3 rows from behind the garage on back, were a nice 'cash crop', but a lot of work as I was growing up! I graduated in 1974 and moved away. Doug Bowser DougsRideHome@yahoo.com
