The Black family farm from the late 1800’s to late 1900’s. Shallersvile route 44. Across from present airport..

I grew up on that farm. In the summer of 1870 my father (Isaac Ray Black) sold the dairy portion of the farm but continued doing some hay & grain farming into the mid-1980s. When he passed away in August 1997 (one month short of being age 98) the farm was rezoned and sold. All of the buildings are gone. Two sections of the barn were moved to other locations in Portage County. Dad moved to this farm in 1901 at age 2 with his parents from West Virginia.

My previous comment should have read that my father sold the dairy in 1970! The address was 8192 State Route 44 Ravenna OH 44266
