This looks like the old Pinter farm on Whippoorwill, just West of the old RR tracks. The barn was burned down by an arsonist in the 80s.

This looks like the old Pinter farm on Whippoorwill, just West of the old RR tracks. The barn was burned down by an arsonist in the 80s. It was owned by Alan and Tommie Tomlinson at that time. The farming community came together and had a good old fashioned barn raising to build a new dairy barn.

The morning after the fire, Mrs. Ochletree (nee Pinter) told me about the hobos who would jump off the trains when they passed by and they would spend the nights in that old barn. Her mom would make them breakfast and carry it over to the barn. She was really sad when the barn was burned down. So much of her life's memories were wrapped up in it.
