Can't account for the station wagon in the front yard. But, drive by the property today and see all the wonderful trees planted almost entirely by Joel Marquis, assisted by his sons. Some were Christmas trees. Some were purchased locally, some came from parent's property in MI. And some were dug up, pulled out or maybe just "borrowed from nearby property. It IS beautiful today.But this is what it looked like when we moved here.

The Marquis Family lived here (1381 CR 31) when this photo was taken. Eventually, many trees were planted by Joel, including rows of pines. The driveway was widened on the west side. Anne had a large new deck built on the back in the early 2000's, with multi-level steps going down to the east and the south. Anne and Joel always worked hard to maintain and update the house and property. They never let anything get run down. They raised 5 children in this house, and entertained many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anne still lives there (2015) and has very frequent visitors, so any new pictures will likely show a vehicle in the driveway!

I spent a lot of time in this house and in the yard. Good memories!
