5396 Route 741. As of last year, the house (built in 1875) was still standing, although hidden entirely by trees and brush. A land trace assigns ownership of this land to John C. Miltenberger during the period this house was built. I'm unable to find any confirmation that this was the Miltenberger homestead.
This is the Fry family farm. The last person in our family to own it was my grandfather Stanley. He died in 1982 and at that time it was going to cost more to refurbish the house then to build a new one, so my dad chose to let it go. I have the best memories of this farm. The house is overgrown and unoccupied now. The windows are broken out of it. The barn collapsed years ago. You can’t see the garage and workshop from the road, but I’m assuming they are gone. I would be very interested in speaking with someone about purchasing copies of this.
