The building in the center is the original Clearcreek Township School and is now Springboro Intermediate school. In the past this housed the entire district while now it only houses a single grade level(6th.)

I attended this school back in the 1950s and recall there was a separate elementary school north of the these buildings. In the later 1950s they built the annex on the left which was for elementary school classes after they moved out of the original elementary school. When I started in 1950, the dark building in the middle was the only building at this location and was for junior and high school classes.

The Elementary school a few blocks north of here was Jonathan Wright Elementary which was built where the old Springboro school once stood. It was closed in 2009 and torn down around 2013. This building is still standing and in use.

Grew up on Locust , condo s now on end of street , Elmwood builtupon end , pass Mr. Fish s duplexes. Myers farm gone on lower Springboro, Myers subdivisions. Ranch house on lower Springboro gone , waste plant expansion . Most of the families gone , a few have kids who grew up there living in homes they grew up in .

I spent many hours at this school. I attended 7th and 8th grade here. Ran track and field here. I played pee wee football on the football fiel (Ralph E. Wade Field. We played all of our high school football home games here. I lived a block away. I only had to walk through a field on the north side and I was in. I played countless hours of parking lot basketball here. There were festivals in the parking lot every year once they stopped closing main street for it. Some of the best memories of my life were right here. I lived here from 1977 to 1986. Third through 11th grades. We were poor but I didn't know it. I had a wonderful childhood in Springboro. Right on Gilpin Drive. Jonathan Wright School which is now gone, Clearcreek Elementary, Springboro Junior High and Springboro High School (now the jr high) had the best educators in the world. It was a great community.

I attended the fourth grade at the wooden four room school then we were moved to the building above in the fifth grade through the seventh grade in the section of the building on the far left as you look at the picture. We went to the high school the middle building and then the section to the right was added. I loved my days at school. We graduated in 1964. Those were good times.
