We lived in this house for 10 yrs. It had no modern plumbing, with an outhouse and a hand pump in the kitchen as well as as pump outside in the side yard next to the driveway. To the right of the house was our garden. The barn in the back housed pigs, sheep, cows and 1 goat. Oh, and many barn cats!! I had been in every nook and cranny of that barn and scaled every inch of the woods behind. I have a lot of memories here, and since, it has become location of the new Middletown Atrium Hosptial. The narrow 2 lane country road is now a 5 lane hwy. Very sad.

I wish others that had lived here before 1963, would chime in on this houses history. I wish there were more pics. It was owned by the Deardoff's that lived in the white farm house next up the street, also pictured on this site.
When we lived here it looked so much better than this pic portrays. That large tree in the driveway, left to the house was a walnut tree. And behind that tree, not shown was a two car garage. The small tree next to the drive, was a plum tree. There was also an apple tree located in the middle of the lane. That was the best climbing tree ever.
