The Holiday Inn. Still there as the Clarion Inn.
This building was leveled for the Clarion Inn
If my bearings are correct, the building straddled the Butler /Allegheny County line.
No Greg. It's just 2-2.5 miles south of the city.( on Rt 8) Think it may be down now, read where the land is going to be redeveloped.Anyway, it's just a short distance from "Greater Butler Mart". shopping center.
Actually, looking again, this is not the "H/I" I was alluding too.Wondering if this one was over on Rt 19?
It is marked on the map.
I see it , indeed , Mix. Thank you. Missed that little detail last eve.
Definitely the HI that was straddled the Cranberry Twp, Butler Co / Marshall Twp, Allegheny Co line. The Turnpike is in the background, and US 19 in front. Demolished a few years ago.
The HI sat abandoned for several years in the 80s/90s but was renovated in the mid-late 90s to become a Holiday Inn Express and, presently, a Clarion Inn. The restaurant/ballroom portion closer to US 19 was separated from the rest of the building and became an Italian Oven, now Bravo!, restaurant and a mattress store.
You all Forgot it was a Quality inn after Holiday inn, Bands played there like BE Taylor. Boy Cranberry and Wexford were great back then.
