Gene and Connie Smith farm. Lived there as long as I can remember and still living there.
Gene and Connie Smith still live here. Gene and his oldest son Bob farm together. Gene has beef cattle and Bob has a dairy operation. In August 2016 the farm was recognized at Ag Progress Days by the PA Department of Agriculture as a Century Farm. Gene and Connie's daughter Rhonda and daughter-in-law Donna researched the history of the farm and verified that it had been in the family at least 100 years. It was a special day for Gene and Connie with almost all of their family present for recognition by the PA Secretary of Agriculture.
