This is located on Cherry Street in Marienville. Originally the house and the building to the right were separate. That building was added in 1951 by Jerry and Lib Harp Adams [who bought the house in 1945] when their restaurant "Jerry's Dinor" outgrew the silver diner they purchased in 1941. The buildings and business were sold to Bernice Taylor who connected the two structures and changed it to "Bernie's Diner" in 1972. In 1986 Bernice sold the property and business to the Stevenson's who operated it as "The Village Diner" until 1995. Vacant for several years, in 1999 it was purchased by a young man who restored it and operated it for an unknown length of time. It looked empty my last trip through Marienville and on Google satellite photos today the sign looks to be gone and the parking lot unused for a long time. It's sad because it was a nice place to meet folks over a meal, snack, or cup of coffee.
