I remember the Heinz family living here. The only structure in this picture still standing is the barn in the meadow to the left. Times have definitely changed in our little town of Graysville.

This was originally Charles Carpenter's Char-Mar Farm.

The red pin on the map is the approximate location of the Mail Pouch barn in the photo above. The Mail Pouch barn is ID'd as MPB 38-30-16 on the Mail Pouch Barnstormer's website.

Charles Carpenter did live there with his family but I believe an older family lived there in its early years. The Orndoff's. The Char-Mar farm was located up on top of the hill off of Fletchers run. The land ran large from that area toward Graysville and toward Enon. Most of it now is owned by Consol Coal Company and the large Biley mine overwhelms it. All of the farm homes were town down. The Carpenters moved to Waynesburg where they owned and operated the Dairy Green there.
