This is my Grandparents home ,Roy and Eva Jane Simpson. My mother Margaret Pearce bwas born in this house. It is a dairy farm and my Uncle Earl and Aunt Evelyn, their son and daughter in law lived in the house next to them they worked the farm with my Grandparents. Now their son Danny and wife Linda Simpson work the farm along with their sons and daughters. They also now have a market on the farm which I believe is called Lone Oak Farm Market. My memories of visiting there as a child were many .When I was six my mother planned a few days for me to spend with both sets of grandparents before starting school as she did with all ten of her children .I recall my grandma cooking eggs for breakfast, which of course came from the chickens they raised.,but they gave me a belly ache and I cried because I didn't want to eat them. As my stomach matured I ate everything. My Grandmother was an amazing cook .Everything was home made and delicious. Her canned goods where beautiful to behold .Home made bread ,jams and vegetables. Her garden was so big and I helped pick vegetables when I was there. We would play in the hay lofts, look for snakes and crayfish in the creek, swing on the front porch swing, play with the dogs and cats, sled ride on the hills ,drink water from the spring house, fetch milk from the milk house for dinner and so much more. My memories will always make me think of my Mother who is in heaven with her family.God is good and I am blessed!
