This was the farm of Richard and Mary McConn and family (7 children). US 40 is to the left - the fields on the left side of the road was part of the farm; this was after the construction of I 70. The building closest to the road was one of the first milking parlors in the area. Much has changed over the years - farm was sold after the death of Richard. The barn became a used car lot for a while; the fields are also be used as a 'storage' for heavy equipment. I left the area in the fall of 1966 after graduating from WLU and began my teaching career. I do visit the area once in awhile to visit.
The farm is located on US 40 east of West Alexander, PA (approx 1.25 miles from the West Virginia border).
