This is the J H Hazlett farm where my mother was born and raised: Mary Eleanor Hazlett. The barn was built in 1915 to replace the one that burned, all the oak used to build the barn was from the farm. Mary married Oliver E. Christensen and they bought the farm from my grandparents around 1958. I lived there until I graduated from high school in 1968. They sold it in 1989. The gas well derrick is gone and there have been some changes to the house plus the addition of an in-ground swimming pool but overall the farm looks the same.
My parents bought a lot adjoining (and from) the Hazlett farm in approximately 1957, along current Chambers Hill Rd
