This farm with old pit mine was at the corner of Monkey Wrench and Senchur Roads, Hempfield Township. For an active mine the same year, see photo 4-DWE-4, just down the road from this one. This house and barn are gone now, replaced by a pond near the road and a more modern house toward the back.
