This was the old Chatfield School. Our house was loocated just out of this photo. My mother taught here for nearly 30 years and my sister, brothers
and I all attended school here. In 1960, it became Buckeye West Elementary School when Buckeye Central School District ws formed. Arsonists destroyed
it in the 1980's. The only part that remained was the gym in the upper right portion of the picture. An elementary school was rebuilt at the same
A well preserved one room school at the Weaver-Fort Jefferson and Hollansburg-Tampico roads. I don't remember the school name. I remember seeing it turned into a home, though.

School was built in 1917, replacing several earlier schoolhouses. The gym was added later.
It was New Moorefield High School until 1952, when
Northeastern High School opened and the previous high schools [New Moorefield, Catawba, Plattsburg] became elementary/middle schools.
