Big Charlie's Mini Grocery, Live Bait, & Tackle is located at 6516 Murfreesboro Road (New Nashville Hwy.) in Smyrna, Rutherford County, Tennessee. It appears that the store opened in approximately 1972, as I found an advertisement stating that this location was formerly the Rose's Cantina. It appears that in addition to selling bait in 1972, the store had a restaurant where fresh catfish was served.

The store is still there today selling groceries, bait & tackle. The store sold Lion gasoline at their two-pump station.

Adjacent to Big Charlie's, in the same building, stood the Peanuts Place Club. Budweiser and Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer signs appeared in the photo.

Even though this photo is from the 1980s, I love everything about it.
