This the farm that my parents owned and farmed from 1955-1977. They also operated the Deuso Barn Dances every Saturday night from May through October until 1971.

The house and main barn are still there and have been renovated. The fields have grown up or have been developed.

My great aunt and uncle ran this farm. My mother spent memorable summers here. From what I here, the dances were a great time for the locals!!

The land has grown up since then. A lot more trees and less fields. The property acreage has greatly decreased. Much of the farm land has sold off to many homeowners spanning a great area.

After moving into my home many years ago, to my surprise the property was a part of the family history! It is a beautiful area to live!!

To this day the farm still has a great amount of acreage. It has been upgraded, but still keeps its historical charm. The tin kitchen ceiling is still intact! A large solar system has been set up to help the farm as well as locals. It is also a growing farm once again.

Mike, thanks for the update. You mentioned that the farm is a growing farm again -- what are they growing?

Jane, sense you last lived there the property has changed hands 3 times. It has had a couple attempts of dairy farming, but was never a success. The farm house was just purchased a couple of years ago by its newest owner. The keepers are greatly into the farm life. As of now they have horses (neighbors boarding) and a oxen living in the barn. Also raising pigs and lambs.

Barn built by my husbands grandfather, Herbert Deuso. Believe Herbie and Beatrice sold it to the DeLarichelieres. Also childhood home of Carmen (Morin), Girdon & James Deuso.
