I was born here in 1938, delivered by our family Dr Templeton from Irasburg in the ground floor bedroom in the lower right that has 4 windows and was my parents bedroom. Two older siblings were born here, 1934 and 1932, same doctor. Buildings built by grandfather from timber off the land purchased. My Father was 2 years old in 1908 when the family moved here. My parents and family left this farm in 1954, for greener pastures! Shortly after this was taken, the vacant house and connected out buildings was burned one Halloween and the following year the barn was burned, by vandals. Many good memories here, many of them connected to animals, especially the horses.

So pretty... what a wonderful (and historic!) photo. Thank you for sharing, Maurice!!

My twin sister and I lived on the farm until we were 6 yrs. old. Great memories, esp. Of the animals!

I recognized it immediately! What a nostalgia trip!

My father was born here (Homer). Once a year we made our yearly trek to VT. and visited this homestead. Such wonderful memories. Eva
