Highway Department Amherst Residency Office, Equipment Shop, Amherst Area Headquarters, Bridge and Sign crews. A new area headquarters was built near Amherst Middle school. Residency office was remodeled and new shop built after this photo. In 2010, the Virginia State Police Egan use of this site after the VDOT Amherst Residency office closed.
