RT 254 west of Staunton. Last business there was Driver Brothers.

The Parkersburg Pike Food and Service center on the right.

I grew up behind the Garden Center it was known as Shanty Town also Blackburn Addition. We lived in a house that no longer stands on what is now Maple Leaf Dr. At the end of the road on the right is my Grandmothers house which my Grandfather Built it is occupied by my Uncle. The land beside it before turning to the right is where our house stood. My Grandparents were one of the first few to get indoor plumbing. To my knowledge we never did. We walked down to the main road to catch the School Bus and if we missed it we walked back up to the top and crossed through the Church on Cedar Green Rd to get to Beverly Manor Elem. There are new houses there now and alot of the houses when i was growing up are gone.

We also lived there again on the first road goung up before the Garden Center the second turn goibg up and that house as well is gone. I believe Paul Davis had a Bike Shop when i was little right beside the Garden Center. Our family had alot of feuds with the Davis kids and usually the older kids would fight after getting off of the Highschool Bus. There used to be an old wooden building we stood in if it was snowing or cold waiting for the bus at the road and there was a long row if Mailboxes along 254 prior to turning in before the Garden Cenrer
