It was the Home ad Horse and pony Farm called Tally Ho Farms..when it was bought in 1945 and Red Brick Colonial Georgian home was built, stables, and fenced in pastures for the horses and onies on both sides of the 1/2 mile lane... it was in Rescue, VA which was later changed to Carrollton by US Postal Service of B.B. Bill Bailey and His Wife Dorothy and their Children, Dorothy, Byron (BUZZ), and Lucy from 1945 till 1999 /2000 when oldest child Dorothy Sold it to the Thorndykes from VA Beach. Both Bill Bailey in the late 1960s sold off all the horses and ponies...and started building homes on James River Drive, Tally ho Drive and w/ Bailey drive being the 1st start of Building homes..and Buzz Bailey building homes on James River Drive and Tally Ho Drive and named James River Shores..private coomunity that maintain their own hard surface roads and beach recreation area.Buzz still owns his waterfront home on the water. His sister Lucy is on 22602 James River Drive on a wooded lot cater-cornered to view of the river between her brother and her parents family home as it was until it was sold.. but not on the water. Lucy has a brick ranch built by her Dad in 1974 where she still resides..
