This property, on John Tree Hill Road, was built by Roy and Blanche Tate in the late '60's. It fronts the James River and has several ponds on the property. Roy was a businessman who also raised ponies, which he sold one by one to the neighborhood kids. As a result, all the neighborhood children learned to ride which made the community ripe for the establishment of Level Green Riding School more than a decade later. Roy kept his property looking like a golf course. He took lawn maintenance to a whole new level.
