Poplar Hill Farm, now the site of the Manor Golf Course. Only the main house and the hay barn in the lower left remain.
Hi Gary! Thanks for sharing your insight about Poplar Hill Farm and the changes over time. We'd love to hear more about your memories of Prince Edward County, VA. When did the property become the Manor Golf Course? Also, what kind of farm did the Poplar Hill farm operate during this time?
The farm was sold in April, 2000 and for the prior 40 years it was a cattle/beef operation. The feeding barns in the center of the photograph could accommodate 400 head.
