This is Smithfield Farm, where my husband grew up - it's been in his family since the 1700's, and the main house was built circa 1850 by slaves. His family owns a beef cattle operation, and his parents and brother still live here. Some things have changed for sure - there are more structures now, and my husband's brother built a house near the main house that wasn't there when this photo was taken, but it's amazing how much hasn't changed!
