This is the old Schroeder Farm. My great grandpa raised his family here along with dairy cattle and beef.

Built in 1905 by Charles Christian and Anna Schroeder, primarily lived in by the family of William and Alice Schroeder. (Kenneth, Clifford, Quinton, Arlene, Laverne, Dwayne and Arnold) Address is 14934 Beavermarsh Rd, Mount Vernon. (Original house number was 1496)

Kirk Campbell torched the Schroeder home and surrounding buildings on March 24, 2018. A disgrace to our heritage. The son of Laverne, has decided to destroy these precious farmlands to develop multifamily homes. He intends to subdivide all of the Schroeder Land into 1-2 Acre Parcels. This will destroy the future of farming here in the Skagit Valley.
