I remeber grocery shopping in that store in 1959 and '60 with my mother-in-law, Geraldine Cogar who lived across the road from the store. The bill for the groceries was put on the customer's account, which is unheard of now. I remember one funny incident when my toddler tried picking up a watermelon that was laying on the store floor. Fond memories!
At one time, that was owned by Paul McQuain's. Wife's name: Mary; Daughter was Sandra. They were old friends of my family and lived next door to us here on town hill in Sutton. Before that, it was owned by the Marple's, as I recall. As a kid, we had a small account there.
